Post Partum Pad Galore: Domino Pads (WW, 2/21)

About Domino Pads

Domino pads are made with high quality materials, primarily bamboo blends. they do not use hemp, which results in a less odor retaining pad. They use breathable Windpro Fleece as a barrier, instead of PUL, which doesn't breathe and are completely vegan friendly.
Domino Pads come in three different size ranges and seven different shapes.

Review

I received one minkee and one hand dyed bamboo pad
The Domino pads were the first pads I put on after the horrible hospital pads (and convincing my husband to wash them at home while I was staying at the hospital) and I can't tell you what a relief they were after the chemical laden disposable pads. They are extremely soft against the skin and offer good coverage. They're also perfectly shaped and wash really well. I have now been using them for 4 weeks and there are no stains.

  1. I'd probably go for size one diapers and some cloth nursing pads, as that's on my current list of things I could still do with for the baby - although I have enough to get started, certainly. I do, however, absolutely love the colours of the pads and would be able to use them post partum quite happily!

  2. I love the bamboo face squares, but would probably go for the hand-dyed bamboo pads.

  3. I learned that they are easy to care for and that they should have an initial first wash before use and to never use fabric softener.

  4. I would put it towards a regular size starter kit in starry night with a bag in blush!

  6. I learned about their "wind tunnel" concept and how to tell which absorbency you have by looking at the colors underneath the pad.

  7. I would probably get some DIY: Benartex Minkee BTY and some of their pads.
