  1. I had no idea you were primal! Any tips for food during early pregnancy? I fell off the wagon when my morning sickness hit and have been struggling to climb back on.

  2. Joining in the Sunday Surf! I love finding great things to read each week.

  3. Thanks for joining Kristen!

Arual, yes, we're primal! It's not something I talk about often for the sake of this blog, as it does little to the matter and I know I have lots of Vegan and vegetarian readers, or some who are on raw foods... so it's not necessary to make that an issue here.
I ate lots of nuts and dried fruit during the first trimester, and had this yummie infusion that saved me from my nausea and vomiting. You can find the recipe here:

A full breakfast also helps, so I bake a lot with chestnut meal, as it is hearty and delicious. Right now I drink lots of coconut and banana shakes with a spoon of prune compote (to avoid constipation). I also add a spoon of coconut meal to my shakes for the fiber. If I want something sweet I take either dates or a piece of dark chocolate.
If you have any other specific questions, you can always email me
