Sleep Soundly (rerun)

No matter the parenting style adopted, I believe all parents should watch their children sleep, if only for an instance a day.

There is something so peaceful, so cleansing, so perfect about a sleeping child. It instantly a washes away all sorrow and frustration. It makes your anguish subside.

Watching your sleeping child connects you to the Miracle Of Life you have made possible and chases Negative Parental Thoughts Away.

Try it.

  1. Oh yes, a sleeping child is wonderful. Every night when I go to bed I inhale my two year old's delicious scent and just look at him in wonder and awe.

  2. so, so true. I can be on the brink of insanity with frustration with my almost-3 year old, but watching him for a while after he finally falls asleep just takes all of that anger away. Sometimes the days feel like a battle from beginning until end, and watching them sleep makes you realise again just how small, vulnerable and special they are.

  6. Sleeping kids can be very peaceful to watch. When I see my boys sleeping it makes me smile every time knowing they will wake up excited to start another day.

  7. I remember my mom telling me once that she used to watch me sleep, and I was sleeping so light that in the early days she was afraid that I died in my sleep or something. I was her first child, so she was quite anxious until she realized that it's just my nature to sleep without moving too much in the night.

  10. Ever since my son was born in 2010 I have always watched him sleep. He always looks so peaceful, beautiful and calm lol. But I also watch him sleep to make sure he his still breathing and everything to reassure myself that he is ok. We sleep in the same room so I don't know what I will do when the day comes and he is able to have his own room. I'll probably sleep in his room lol
